Today's report covers news about the Teamsters, the American System, Election Integrity and more!
On August 1, the Facebook page of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters encouraged their members to vote on who the union should endorse for President. The current Teamster Magazine includes a QR code which allows members to vote for Donald Trump, Kamala Harris, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Cornel West, as well as options for voting undecided, no endorsement or write-ins. This comes on the heels of Teamster President Sean O'Brien's speech to the Republican National Convention in July, where he declared that the Teamsters are “not beholden to any party." This was the first time a Teamster President had ever addressed a Republican Convention. The Teamsters represent 1.6 million workers and retirees and is the largest union in the country.
