In a critical shift from his 2016 transition that allies believe will make his first 100 days a MAGA tour de force, President-elect Donald Trump has rewritten the master White House hiring plan to produce a team loyal to his agenda and not the Washington swamp.
In giving a team of his closest advisers the job of filling hundreds of key positions, Trump has turned away from the traditional model of letting Washington insiders pick his team, as he did, with disastrous results, in 2016, and even led to the firing of his transition chief.
Promethean PAC Texas held their last online meeting for the year on December 12. Evelyn Lantz compared the post-election period we are in to a trans-sonic turbulence. Peter Bowen presented an overview of the new white paper by Michael Steger, “How to Make America a Manufacturing Superpower: Double U.S. Energy Supply." He recently distributed the paper in Austin at the State Republican Executive Committee.
MIGOP Vice Chair Candidate Tells Auto Workers to Think Big

Susan Kokinda, a candidate for Coalitions Vice Chair of the Michigan Republican Party (MIGOP), addressed a victory celebration hosted by Auto Workers for Trump founder, Brian Pannebecker, on December 12. The event, held in blue-collar Macomb County, was attended by over 100 people, most of them the Trump-supporting trade unionists who organized their fellow auto workers on shop floors throughout Southeastern Michigan.
Pannebecker introduced Kokinda as a leader of Promethean PAC. Pannebecker always reminds people that Promethean PAC used to be LaRouche PAC, reflecting on the penetration and influence the LaRouche movement has had in Michigan for decades.

In her remarks, Kokinda focused on the need to ensure that the coalition which won Michigan for Donald Trump, consisting of blue collar workers, young people, minorities, and Muslim and Arab Americans, becomes the basis for a new Michigan Republican Party. While identifying the obvious reasons that these layers voted for Donald Trump–primarily his commitment to peace, and his defense of the auto industry and the internal combustion engine–she also challenged the audience to think big and to think about the future. Citing the auto industry’s ability to pivot and produce anything, as it had during World War II, she pointed to the potential for an explosion of manufacturing jobs around nuclear power and a revived space program.
On December 14, Kokinda attended the Michigan GOP State Committee meeting where she filed her official paperwork to run for Coalitions Vice Chair. She found strong resonance from State Committee members to the challenge put forward in the 2024 Republican Party Platform that the party must recreate itself as the party of workers and industry. There was widespread recognition and interest in the now-famous “20 Promises” flyer which Promethean PAC and the 13th Congressional GOP (Kokinda’s home base) produced.

Mindy Pechenuk, candidate for mayor of Oakland, CA, addressed the budget crisis of the city, why the budget cuts are doomed to fail, and outlined her solutions in a statement released December 17.
"If you keep piling more debt on debt, with no intention of actually solving the underlying problem by growing your economy with skilled jobs, industry, energy development, and expanding the export base of our great Port, you will have failed to reverse the underlying reason of what is causing us to have a bankrupt city.
"I will re-start up the process of restoring the real physical economy and tax revenue base by building new industries, energy plants, and skilled jobs that will provide a vibrant future for our great city.
"I will work with President Donald J. Trump and get federal help to get rid of the Fentanyl on our streets. Also, we will shut down the illegal Cannabis warehouses in Oakland."
Handel's Messiah in Detroit: A Light is Shining Over the Entire World

Promethean PAC participated in a December 15 choral performance of Handel's Messiah at the Jefferson Avenue Presbyterian Church in Detroit, MI. Ann Marie Koukios, a spectacular and artistic music teacher, conducted the historic Fort Street Chorale. The church's resonating and warm acoustics were a delight to the packed audience and singers alike.
Discussions after the performance reflected the optimism that the entire country is feeling since the victory of President Trump and his new team. One audience member noted that, even though it is the same choir, conductor, and orchestra as last year, THIS performance was profoundly moving. The soprano air, "I know that my Redeemer liveth," unveiled a deeper meaning , because now we DO know, whereas a year ago we had only hoped! As the Greek philosopher Heraclitus stated, nothing is constant but change.
That optimism was recently described by President Trump in his December 16 press conference with CEO of SoftBank, Masayoshi Son. "On behalf of the American people, I want to thank Masa for his faith in what's happening with our country and what's happening with the world. There's a whole light over the entire world." That light will keep giving us more profound insights and deeper meaning, as we work to move our nation and humanity forward, toward our Redeemer.

Longshoremen Support for Trump
Trump's reclaiming the GOP as the party of the working men and women of America is reflected in a statement by Dennis A. Daggett, Executive Vice President of the International Longshoremen’s Association. On December 12, Trump met with Daggett and with ILA President Harold J. Daggett, where he expressed strong support for longshore workers in their current contract battle with United States Maritime Alliance over job-killing automation.
"Throughout my career, I’ve never seen a politician—let alone the President of the United States—truly understand the importance of the work our members do every single day. But yesterday, President-elect Trump not only demonstrated that understanding but also showed the utmost respect for the hard work, sacrifices, and dedication of our membership.
"This man truly wants to fight for America and its working class. In over 25 years of working in Washington, I have never seen a Republican take up the mantle for working-class people. President-elect Trump proved me wrong yesterday."

The city of government of Chicago has made the city a "sanctuary city," where the city does not cooperate with federal immigration enforcement and, instead, spends money to house and care for immigrants. The population agrees with Donald Trump, not with Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson.
