Russiagate 2.0 Is Even More Stupid Than the Original British Op

The Justice Department, with appropriate media trumpets and strumpets, announced a new indictment against Russian citizens residing in Russia Wednesday, targeting the Russian news publication RT. The indictment details an alleged scheme by RT to funnel close to $10 million to a Tennessee social media company, Tenet Media, run by Laura Chen and her husband, Liam Donovan. It states that Chen and Tenet then actively deceived conservative influencers Benny Johnson, Tim Pool, Dave Rubin, and Lauren Southern into contracts with Tenet without disclosure of the RT relationship or the source of funding.

With these influencers onboard, various conservative politicians appeared in the company’s videos which carried viewpoints favorable to Russia. You can find a decent analysis of the claims in a recent Wired article below.

Right-Wing Influencer Network Tenet Media Allegedly Spread Russian Disinformation

In an unsealed indictment, the DOJ alleges that employees of state-owned RT contracted for and oversaw the dissemination of Kremlin talking points by popular right-wing influencers, including Benny Johnson and Tim Pool.

Personally, I enjoyed Larry Johnson’s description of Attorney General Merrick Garland’s performance in his press conference announcing the indictment as “testosterone deprived.” Larry reported correctly that the people conducting significant active interference in the U.S. elections in 2016 and 2024 are associated with the DOJ, FBI, and CIA.  He neglected to mention the State Department and Homeland Security, critical parts in the Biden/Harris “whole of government” censorship and prosecution effort to rig things in 2024.  He also left out what he knows to be true about British intelligence’s role in engineering the whole shebang.

In the headlines from this morning, the corporate media is parading these allegations as demonstrating that Russian controlled assets were promoting Donald Trump’s election. Nothing could be further from the truth and Pool, Rubin, and Johnson have all released statements noting that they were duped, even in the assessment of the DOJ indictment.

Notably, Chen has been relentlessly attacking Trump as a traitor to the conservative movement, particularly on the abortion issue, for some time. She and Donavon have had nothing to say about the indictment. Some commentators think that indicates they are cooperating in the investigation. They were not named as defendants in the current indictment.

While Rubin and Pool are now onboard with Trump, both flirted with Ron DeSantis in the primaries. Southern is an alt right nationalist who lives in Canada, and recently noted that she is struggling with mental illness after divorce from a husband who lost his job in the intelligence community because of his relationship to her. Adding to the intrigue, Vladimir Putin yesterday endorsed Kamala Harris for president.

The DOJ and the Biden Administration have been involved in a relentless and desperate campaign to discredit all critics of the Ukraine war or those who dissent from the British campaign to absorb Eurasia into a new imperium, or who potentially support Donald Trump for his opposition to this scheme. Dmitri Simes, Scott Ritter, Tulsi Gabbard, Pavel Durov (the owner of Telegram recently arrested by France) Elon Musk, are all recent targets of this scheme. As Ukrainian losses pile up to the million-person killed and wounded figure and Russia seems to be close to a definitive win, Washington’s security state is increasingly desperate to hide the bloody and very ugly truth about their malevolence and incompetence.

With total control now exercised over corporate mainstream media by the national security state, much of this presidential campaign is being fought out on social and alternative media, particularly with respect to young people and the millions of Americans who either support Trump outright or who are undergoing an awakening with respect to saving this country from outright dictatorship.  They no longer engage with the mainstream hose of daily lies but instead seek out the news and the truth on social media.

It is easy to see how this indictment fits in that part of the current war for the country. If you support Trump or disbelieve the Russiagate narrative, we will do everything in our power to discredit you as a Russian dupe. That is the intended message here. After all, millions of Americans still believe the Russiagate myths peddled by Obama and Biden at the behest of the British campaign to neuter populist movements worldwide since 2016. The media blocked the fact that all the elements of that myth have been disproven as fake British, Ukrainian and State Department propaganda.

Like Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s 2018 indictment of Russian GRU agents for electoral interference in 2016, we will never probably know whether this indictment’s alleged facts are true in whole or in part. In that case, the Russians surprised DOJ by hiring lawyers and showing up in court, with the result that the case never went forward. The Russians indicted are in Russia and are under no obligation to show up and defend themselves here.
