The Big Trump Confirmation Hearings; A Day Which Will Change History

Donald Trump’s most consequential appointments —the ones which can really drain the swamp— had confirmation hearings on Thursday: Kash Patel, as Director of the FBI, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Director of Health and Human Services, and Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence.  It was the second day of hearings for RFK, Jr.  

It was breathtaking watching the truly historic and revolutionary nature of these appointments play out.  They are each truth seekers and did not give an inch while under a full-on assault by the forces of what some have called the “Deep State”: “Big Pharma” and the emergent Health Industrial Complex in the case of Kennedy; the security state in the case of Patel and Gabbard.

In reality, these forces are but the domestic representatives of the modern British financial empire in its post 1989 modality, after the fall of the Wall, the advent of small wars and consolidation and cartelization of all wealth.  Senator Mark Warner, in leading opposition against Tulsi Gabbard, blurted that fact out.  He said the distrust of our “Five Eyes partners” that Gabbard would keep their secrets, was the reason her nomination had to be defeated. 

The hearings also revealed the complete and awful degradation of each Democratic Senator into a variety of trained seal capable only of prescribed performance art for their satanically deranged donors.  In most cases, they simply aggressively talked over Patel, Kennedy, and Gabbard to endlessly repeat the same scripted talking points.

We Have Work to Do 

At the end of explosive hearings Thursday, the view of the Washington odds makers was that Tulsi’s appointment was in trouble, that RFK, Jr. was 50-50, depending on how Sen. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana votes, and that Patel will be confirmed.  I think that Tulsi may be in better shape than that, particularly since Senator Susan Collins seems much more open. But the Senate Intelligence Committee, as demonstrated today, is the heart of the security state in Congress not the overseer it was created to be. 

So, while it is tempting to cover Kash decimating Senators Adam Schiff, Amy Klobuchar, and Corey Booker, and RFK, Jr. confronting Bernie Sanders and all of the Senators attacking him as slaves to their major contributors at Big Pharma, we’ll cover Tulsi now and the others next.

Lt. Col. Tulsi Gabbard the Truth Teller Vs. A Nest of Liars  

For weeks before Thursday’s hearing, Gabbard had been smeared in the press as a Russian agent, a duped agent of Assad in Syria, a secretive Hindu cult member, a leaker of national security secrets, among the more virulent lies in the mainstream media.  

David Ignatius Dictates the Democrats’ Script

Recognizing that these lurid lies had not done the trick in killing Gabbard’s nomination, David Ignatius, the CIA’s man at the Washington Post, stepped up Wednesday with a new hit piece.

Gabbard is not experienced in intelligence management, Ignatius said, unlike James Clapper, Obama’s DNI, or Avril Haines, Joe Biden’s appointment, but one of Obama’s three furies.  

Clapper, of course, perjured himself before Congress by denying that the intelligence community was involved in mass surveillance of Americans. Haines, during her Obama White House assistant stint for Susan Rice, was hand picked by the treasonous John Brennan as his Deputy at the CIA where she covered up torture and other crimes.   Her previous experience?  Running a pornographic bookstore in Fells Point, Maryland. 

Next, Ignatius attacks Gabbard’s credibility and judgment.  She is not in favor of the warrantless surveillance scheme empowered by FISA, she talked to Assad in Syria and questioned whether he used chemical weapons against his population, she defended Edward Snowden, [the person who exposed mass surveillance of the American people tolerated by most on this Committee], she opposed the Global Magnitsky Act.  [That Act, as reported by this author, is a fraudulent Russian and other disfavored nation sanction regime concocted by Bill Browder, the British agent who got rich looting Russia under the drunk, Boris Yeltsin.]

The sins of Gabbard, Ignatius continued, include saying,  like Trump, that Biden provoked Putin concerning Ukraine by ignoring Russia’s legitimate security concerns about Ukraine joining NATO. She said the U.S. had biolabs in Ukraine, another truthful assertion despite Ignatius’ innuendo.  Victoria Nuland, the author of much that is evil concerning that genocidal war, told Congress this was true, not a Russian “talking point.” 

That it turned out, was the script for the hearing, dictated by the intelligence community, laundered through their favorite media man, and adopted by Senator Mark Warner and others who have become nothing but megaphones for the people they are supposed to regulate.

The Trump Effect 

It was clear from the outset that the Trump Effect was operating in the hearing.  Tulsi was completely prepared to competently decimate her tormenters.  Richard Burr, the former Chairman of this Committee who attacked Trump in Russiagate, introduced Gabbard and enthusiastically endorsed her. So did Senator Joni Ernst.  Sen. Tom Cotton, who chairs the Committee currently, is all in on Tulsi, declaring her a total patriot, the exact choice for this job at this time, while whipping votes for her, despite his NeoCon, War Hawk, profile. 

Key Moments

Here is Tulsi’s Opening Statement. It will inspire you given the background I just laid out. She does not once pull her punches. I urge you to watch it in full.  

There were other great moments, like her reasons for meeting with Assad, her exposure of Obama’s use of Al-Qaeda to overthrow Assad, the evidence that some of Assad’s gas attacks were false flags, meant to foster regime change, her view that Edward Snowden broke the law but otherwise informed Americans of a massive illegal assault on their civil liberties.

Because of Tulsi’s steadfastness, the hearing degenerated into hysterical demands that she call Edward Snowden a traitor, not just a law breaker and whistleblower. These desperate and really quite mad demands came not just from the deranged Democrat, Senator Michael Bennett from Colorado, but also from Republicans James Lankford from Oklahoma and Todd Young from Indiana. Lie like us about what you believe, they demanded, otherwise you can’t join the club. 

It’s unclear whether Lankford or Young were personally offended by Gabbard not taking a knee to this insanity or whether they were trying to lobby her to give them something to convince other crazy Senators who are making calling Snowden a traitor the key to their vote. Of course, treason status dictates the death penalty, in most cases, under our Constitution.  To be clear, Edward Snowden performed a huge public service by unveiling illegal mass surveillance against Americans and sacrificed his life here to do so.

Snowden did not go through whistleblower channels because Bill Binney, the NSA’s most talented code breaker, did just that and received an FBI raid and investigation and cancellation of all his business ventures when he did so.  That story is told in the movie, A Good American. Otherwise, Glenn Greenwald, who published the Snowden disclosures, thoroughly refutes all the lies about Snowden foisted on the public today.

Again, the possible wobbles and nos on Tulsi include all the Democrats, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Todd Young, James Lankford, Mike Rounds, Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConnell, and John Curtis.
