As the week commenced, Vladimir Putin issued a new warning that Russia is being pushed across red lines which cannot be crossed if escalating war is to be avoided.  The strategic situation calls for the development of strategic defense against incoming missiles urgently, just like Lyndon LaRouche and Ronald Reagan proposed be developed jointly with the Russians.  Trump has promised to build such a defense here. Syria is being carved up between Israel and Turkey,  creating, again, massive instability at the crossroads of the world.  This is why Trump's ironclad promise to stop these wars with his appointments in the defense and security sector is so critical.   The economy will take center stage this week with RFK, Jr. on the Hill attacking the Pharma and healthcare monopolies.  The funding of the government, and discussion of how to deal with trillions in debt is on the agenda.

Barbara Boyd: [00:00:00] Good morning. I'm Barbara Boyd and this is your Monday Brief for December 16th, 2024. We're going to focus on the key dynamics in the world that we will be watching this week at Promethean Action and Promethean PAC. We'll address here the strategic situation and place the all out fight around Trump's appointments for his new administration in that context.

From a news standpoint, we have the continuing carnage in Ukraine and a significant statement by President Putin this morning, which we haven't had time to fully analyze. The headline seems to be that the West, by which he means NATO and that faction in the United States presently in power, which is controlled by the oligarchs of the modern British Empire, is pushing him to his red lines, the lines which require Russia to escalate in order to defend itself.[00:01:00]

Obviously, Trump is promising something different. The question is, will these idiots actually provoke something prior to January 20th? President Putin notes that the planned deployment of U. S. medium range missiles in Europe, right on Russia's border, which will be Hypersonic, as the United States has just tested its first missile in response to the much more advanced weapons already developed by the Russians and the Chinese.

I note about this in passing that these advanced technologies are now directly shaping the future, and it is well past time for the strategic defense to be developed to shift the dynamic away from offensive war. Beam weapons using advanced laser technologies are the only defense to hypersonic missiles.

Lyndon LaRouche, way back in the early 1980s, [00:02:00] proposed the development of the strategic defense, and it was adopted by the Reagan administration, but then sabotaged by the warmongers. The way Lyndon LaRouche thought about this is that the rapid development of his and Edward Teller's Strategic Defense Initiative, using those defensive weapons would provide a way to shoot down any incoming missiles. One might add, they probably would also, in some sense, take care of drones.

Deployment of the SDI, which Reagan offered jointly to the Russians would result in a temporary advantage for the defense before offensive weapons could be developed. It is the nature of human beings that we progress in the universe, we develop things, so any attempt to actually shutdown technology is not something we actually want to do. That's [00:03:00] something which we did, obviously, through the ABM treaties, preventing a defense.

In that interlude, once this defense is developed, huge development proposals for the world by the nuclear powers under LaRouche's proposals, and actually Reagan's idea, would take place creating a peace in the world because we would no longer be dealing with primitive economies being brutalized and mastered by empires which only know how to rape, pillage, and accumulate wealth by brutal and very, very backward means.

In the Middle East, Syria continues to be carved up by Turkey and Israel and the variety of terrorist groupings controlled by NATO and that same military group in the United States, which is presently controlling the defense budget. It seems like Gaddafi had it right [00:04:00] before he was assassinated.

He said, the plan is to eliminate Syria and Lebanon from the map so that Israel's borders will be with Turkey in a completely remapped Middle East. If you think about the implications of all of that, All Arab secular states would be eliminated in favor of two religious states, a revisionist Zionist Israel and an Islamist new Ottoman Empire, which will be continuously at war with one another.

Just as the Sykes Picot Agreement ensured that the nations of this region would be in permanent religious conflict to facilitate, at that time, they're looting for their oil and gas reserves, along with foreign control of the sea and land routes for trade between Europe, Asia, and Africa. So, too, was this plan, which originated way back in the Bush administration at the [00:05:00] time of 9 11.

It has now, in some sense, been fulfilled. Netanyahu was scheduled to testify in his trial today in Israel, but the judge gave him a pass on national security grounds. There is widespread, so called informed speculation, that there will either be a strike on Iran or a hostage deal. Such are the fortunes of this troubled, troubled region, which LaRouche said, just as Trump said, can only be settled not by the two places in the Middle East at war with one another, but by a new dynamic in the entire world itself dedicated to peace.

That's what I think Donald Trump has in mind for this, his breakthrough administration. He's meeting this challenge through his national security appointments of Pete Hegseth John Radcliffe, Kash Patel, Tulsi Gabbard, and now Rick Grinnell as his own [00:06:00] special missions man to world hotspots. And Devin Nunez to the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board, overseeing the intelligence community and the State Department.

These people and Vice President Vance share Trump's passion and promise to the American people to end the forever wars which we have been involved in, not for our security purposes, but for the purposes of oligarchs who Trump calls the globalists.

To put a fine point on the opposing view, Senator Mitch McConnell penned an article in Foreign Affairs, which was released yesterday, arguing the case for maintaining what he calls America's necessary leadership in the world against trump's vision, the one the people voted for, which McConnell characterizes as isolationism.

It is an argument for the continued subservience to the British [00:07:00] global empire, and it is the actual battle line in the fight for Trump's security state nominees. Trump does not intend to withdraw from the world. Rather, his idea is that we should have deals and constructive relationships between sovereign nation states rather than McConnell's ideas, which are the same as Biden and Obama's ideas about supporting a supranational world government run by oligarchs.

The second major story evolving this week will concern the economy. Congress is rushing to finalize funding the government, which must be done by Friday, or the government will shut down. It will be a bad deal, given the margins which Trump will have to figure out how to undo. That is, the margins in the House and the Senate, for Trump's agenda, are very, very thin.

Reflecting the new Working Man's Coalition Trump is building, he met over the weekend with longshore [00:08:00] union officials. to hear their grievances about automation and the predatory financial appetite of shipping companies. Again he is emphasizing this will be a pro union presidency.

R. F. K. Jr. will be on the Hill this week meeting with Senators about his nomination and his vision for reshaping the healthcare sector of the economy, which is right now functioning under the control of huge monopolies in pharma and the health insurance cartel set into today's form by Obamacare.

Antitrust actions are urgently required to curb the power of what is essentially a modern trust, rationing medical care to American citizens at huge profits and huge costs to the nation. Kennedy is also focused on the junk and processed food industries and chronic disease which eat up people's income and their health.

The vaccine controversy is a side issue aimed to scare people and [00:09:00] obscure the true picture here. This is a huge part of our economy presently, which there is a plan to actually secure for the citizens and take away from the predators. Enormous amounts of unsustainable national debt can be wiped out through ending the forever wars and focusing our defense on inventing new technologies to guarantee peace, and through what Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are doing in Doge, along with Russ Vought at the Office of Management and Budget.

Unnecessary and crazy things will be cut. Major new revenues will come in through tariffs and through allocating the necessary funds to build the energy and other infrastructure for a manufacturing renaissance. That, however, does not solve the problem dealing with the collapse occurring in all Western and developed economies, our trading partners, the [00:10:00] people we trade with and sell our goods to.

And the trillions of debt which we are now burdened with as a result of Biden's policies and the collapse of 2008 and everything which has developed in terms of insane monetary policy since 1971 when the Bretton Woods system was dismantled and taken down by Richard Nixon and John Connolly and, most importantly, George Shultz.

Scott Bessent ,Trump's Treasury Secretary keeps using the words New Bretton Woods, meaning, in my view, that he is thinking about the simple fact that you can't develop the type of economy here, or a peaceful set of nation state relationships in the world, without nations having access to long term credit at low interest rates and a monetary supply which is stable internationally.

That's why Bretton Woods allowed [00:11:00] for the development of stable economies in the post war period, what people remember nostalgically as the last great period of American economic revival. It is not some imperial rules based international order, which made this, as Mitch McConnell argues. It was a system developed by Roosevelt, which actually allowed nation states, sovereign nation states, to develop and trade with one another.

Now, Bob Ingraham gave a terrific class on Saturday. In it, he talks about the type of banking and credit practices which allowed us to develop new economies here out of apparent ashes and disasters following our revolution, the Civil War, during the Civil War, and in the massive mobilization which led to victory in World War II.

It will be unfamiliar territory for many, since we have been lied [00:12:00] to that there is magic in the marketplace that free trade creates wealth and basically consuming things somehow sustains life. None of that is true and has never been true. We are builders. That's human nature. Please look for and watch Bob's class and join the discussion.

Join us in discussing this because this is going to be the dominant dynamic in the next weeks and months. Donald Trump has promised an economy which will allow for families, children, and housing for young people. Getting there requires a living wage. It requires rebuilding our devastated cities on a modern infrastructure and transportation platform.

What Bob discussed on Saturday is an opening salvo on the types of policies this population needs to study and master right now, because that's the [00:13:00] next fight and that's what we'll be fighting for here at Promethean Action and Promethean PAC.

Please join Susan Kokinda on Wednesday for the midweek. She will be updating you on all the organizing we're doing in the heartland of the Midwest and what that's about and I'll see you again on Saturday for the wrap.
