In much of Washington State, those who identify as Republicans must behave politically much like the underground in a Communist country, and even more so if one is a Trump supporter. The very wealthy establishment behind the scenes, (inclusive of the leaders of Microsoft, Starbucks, Amazon, etc.) are totally oriented to radical globalist policies, and use the left, its violence and its political correctness to intimidate. This intimidation is spread into all the institutions with DEI, the climate change emergency, and the imposed transgender ideology. This is partly why, in 2020, two of the three Republican members of Congress from Washington State, voted to impeach Donald Trump. In doing so, these two members of Congress reflect the current core sentiments of the state Republican establishment. That core sentiment is based on participation with the ruling elites in governing the State, and the fear of doing anything confrontational.
These Republicans call themselves “mainstream Republicans” to distinguish themselves from the more recent emergence of what they call the “grassroots,” which the Seattle media and the elite of both parties’ slander as extremist, right wing crazy insurrectionists. However, it is Trump and these “grassroots” who are energizing the population and providing the volunteers for political activity.
Every time a Republican candidate emerges with strong support from the grassroots, the donor class boycotts, the media slanders, nasty psyops operations are run to divide the grassroots, and behind the scenes thuggery occurs, all to prevent the “calamity” of an election of an authentic representative of the people who will challenge the elite and their dystopian policies.
In the most conservative Congressional District in Washington State, the 4th CD in the center of the state, that calamity has occurred in the primary election victory of Jerrod Sessler, the Trump endorsed candidate. Despite all the above, including a major donor boycott, and the entrance in the last few months of a well-connected, well financed spoiler, Tifany Smiley, Jerrod Sessler will now face the Trump impeachment incumbent Dan Newhouse in the general election. Sessler’s lead campaign slogan at the bottom of his website says, “Remember, that we are on an adventure inked by grace.”
Jerrod Sessler’s campaign was successful because he campaigned for three years, continuing after losing the primary in 2022, never giving up, and building a dedicated network of supporters through in-depth engagement, while discovering and addressing the needs of this constituency. Nobody owns him. He is free to represent his district and his constituents without any debts or strings attached. Sessler’s potential victory in November looms wonderfully now over the diseased political landscape of Washington State and represents a harbinger of a new more positive era.
