Pete Hegseth aced his nomination hearing before the Senate Armed Services Committee today. Democratic Senators, of both sexual origins, however, staged a full blown banshee show in response.

Two Big Launches Foreshadow the Incoming Trump Administration
As President Trump prepares to return to the White House, a new era of space exploration is on the horizon. Two big launches are set to kick off the year, signaling a major shift in the industry and paving the way for human settlements on Mars.
Don't miss the two big test launches expected for Wednesday evening/Thursday morning.
The Starship/Superheavy 7th flight test is now expected on Wednesday, January 15, at 5 p.m. EST.
The First Blue Origin New Glenn launch is now scheduled for 1:00 a.m. EST Thursday morning (Wednesday night).
There is so much out there among the planets and the stars waiting to be explored, new resources to be mined, new frontiers to be developed. Mars is certainly at the top of the list.
With President Trump returning to the White House as the 47th President in a matter of days, Jarred Issacman soon to head up NASA, and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk on the team, we're practically on Mars already.
Record-Breaking Rocket Launches in 2024
250 orbital launches globally in 2024
134 were SpaceX missions
129 Falcon 9 missions
Two Falcon Heavy missions
Three Starship test flights
Rocket launches were a big hit in 2024, and they will be bigger and better in 2025. Space X has certainly earned its spot as the leader in rocket launches. 2024 was a record year for the company. 250 orbital rocket launches took place globally last year. SpaceX accounted for 134 of those launches, which included 129 falcon 9 missions, two falcon heavy missions, and three Starship test flights.
Upcoming SpaceX Launches in 2025
In 2025 SpaceX will kick off the year with another big launch of its 33-raptor-engine-powered Starship/Superheavy rocket lifting off from Starbase, Texas. The Starship Test Flight 7 will fly booster 14 and ship 33–the first block 2 upper stage.
This mission will include significant upgrades, such as:
A payload deployment of 10 simulated larger Starlink satellites
A powered landing in the Indian Ocean
The Mechazilla arms catching the Superheavy booster
This year will certainly be a busy year for SpaceX. Starship flight 7 will mark the first of 25 potential Starship launches this year.
Blue Origin's New Glenn Heavy Lift Rocket
Space X won’t be the only rocket company ringing in the year with a big launch. Within the next few days we may also witness the maiden launch of Blue Origin’s New Glenn heavy lift rocket.
New Glenn is set to lift off from complex 36 pad at Cape Canaveral space force station in Florida. This 320-foot-tall rocket was first announced by Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos back in 2016. New Glenn is finally ready to make its big debut. The rocket will be powered by seven BE4 engines on the first stage and two BE-3U engines on the second stage.
NASA's ESCAPADE Mission
The mission will attempt to land its first stage on a ship at sea, as New Glenn’s booster is also designed to be reusable. If all goes well the Blue Origin heavy lift rocket may soon be flying NASA’s ESCAPADE mission to Mars this spring. This mission will consist of two identical orbiter spacecraft that will study the magnetosphere of Mars.
Trump's Artemis Mission Back to the Moon
In addition, both the SpaceX Starship Human Landing System (HLS), and the Blue Origin Blue Moon lander, set to fly aboard its New Glenn Rocket, have been selected to provide human landing systems for NASA’s Artemis Program.
This program was first announced by President Trump in his first administration to return American astronauts to the Moon for the first time since 1972.
This time we’ll establish a permanent lunar colony and develop the resources of the lunar surface.
The Road to Mars
Developing the resources on the Moon will pave the way for continued economic growth here on Earth and pave the way for missions to Mars. But we certainly don’t have to fully colonize the Moon before we head to Mars.
With the rapid pace of development and reusability of the Starship rocket system, Elon Musk has posted on X that,
"The first Starships to Mars will launch in 2 years when the next Earth-Mars transfer window opens. These will be uncrewed to test the reliability of landing intact on Mars. If those landings go well, then the first crewed flights to Mars will be in 4 years. Flight rate will grow exponentially from there, with the goal of building a self-sustaining city in about 20 years."
Rebuild the USA: The Trump Presidency and Beyond
After all the years of campaigning, Americans have finally come to the agreement that we will Make America Great Again. But, how do we actually implement the intention, and with a minimum of mistakes along the way?
It's time for the US to buy Canada and Greenland. Reject 'maple syrup fascism' and create a new era of continental development with the NAWAPA project. Unlock global resources, bolster security, and explore a pristine region. Think big, fulfill Genesis' command to 'replenish the Earth.
